Shipdex Consulting Ltd. competences
Our director has a long experience in the shipping field having worked for 5 years for Italian shipyard Fincantieri – Defence Division – as IT manager in the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Department. In that position he was responsible of some important technical publication projects for Italian, German and French Navies. Every project was based on S1000D specification (www.s1000d.org).
Skill in Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP)
After his 5 years experience at Fincantieri he worked for 9 years for SpecTec Group as ILS & Shipdex manager. He represented SpecTec Group inside the Shipdex Steering Committee and Maintenance Group (www.shipdex.com) and he was the author and technical manager of the Shipdex protocol.
He also gave an important contribution in developing the software applications:
- Interfaces to Shipdex to import Shipdex data into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) systems
- Shipdex Enterprise Management Suite (Shipdex EMS) to manage the whole Shipdex process based on the Common Source DataBase (CSDB)
He is currently member of Shipdex Steering Committee and Maintenance Group and acts as Shipdex technical manager.
He is also Observer Member in the S1000D (technical publications) and S5000F (data feedback from the field) Steering Committees on behalf of Shipdex organization.
